Moderating a US Senate Democratic primary debate, Topsham, Maine, April 11
The US Senate race in Maine could determine which party controls the Senate for the next two years of Donald Trump’s presidency, with the rule of law at stake. Democratic primary voters will chose who will go up against incumbent Republican Susan Collins, who’s made little effort to hold Trump accountable. The primary contest — between the sitting governor, Janet Mills, and oyster farmer Graham Platner, is already receiving national attention, not least because Platner is consistently ahead of Mills in the polls.
The Sagadahoc County Democrats, Freeport Democrats, Brunswick Democrats, and Brunswick Indivisible are co-hosting a live debate between Mills and Platner April 11, and I’m the moderator. It’s 3 to 5pm at Topsham’s Orion Peforming Arts Center. It’s free, but you’d best register ASAP, as it’ll be sold out very quickly. Here’s a write up from the Boothbay Register.
