Speaking on the challenges of U.S. nationhood, U.S. Senate, Washington, D.C., Sept. 7 (private)

On the invitation of Leader Chuck Schumer and Sen. Debbie Stabenow, chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee, I’ll be speaking to the Democratic caucus of the U.S. Senate about the past and present challenges to holding the U.S. together, the topics of my books, American Nations and Union and the work of the think tank project I founded at the Salve Regina University Pell Center, Nationhood Lab. (I’d be pleased to speak to the Republican caucus as well, should they wish to invite me.) The event will be held at the U.S. Senate and is invite-only.
COLIN WOODARD is a New York Times bestselling author, historian and award-winning journalist. He is the author of seven books that have been translated into a dozen foreign languages and inspired an NBC television drama. He is currently Director of Nationhood Lab at the Pell Center for International Relations and Public Affairs at Salve Regina University.
