For those in southern Maine or Seacoast New Hampshire: I’ll be speaking on my most recent book, Union: The Struggle to Forge the story of United States Nationhood at the York Public Library in York, Maine on September 14 at 6:30 pm. Portsmouth Herald columnist Ron McCallister wrote this wonderfully generous preview of the talk and my work last week.
